First Rain of the Season

We're getting a pretty good rain tonight. It's actually a little early in the season. I don't know if that is a precursor of things to come - we really could use a wet winter, as the past couple of years have not been all that moist. Anyway, the rain most likely would have played havoc with Izzie's painting the new six panel interior doors that are to be hung (time to remove the eighteen year old plain slab doors). Fortunately we had to put that on hold until next week. One of the doors has to be ordered and it will be five days to a week before it is ready. Izzie wants to do the painting of all the doors in one setting. So, that project will be delayed for awhile.

Our projects are going pretty well, with just an occasional glitch here and there. I've got to buy some new hardware for the front door. The handle is acting up, so we've decided to just swap it out for a different one. I'll have to do that tomorrow, some time before meeting Tom for dinner. We're going to eat at Fin's tomorrow evening. It should be fun. I haven't seen Tom for a couple of weeks. We have some catching up to do.
