It's been pretty much a leisurely day. Nancy had an early morning doctor appointment. She got her machine to help her sleep. The mask she has to wear, to assist her breathing, will take some time to get use to. She tried it for a couple of hours this afternoon and it seemed to help provide her with a more restful sleep. We'll have to see how it does over time.
This evening we went to dinner at the Taste of China restaurant. They have over a hundred offerings at their buffet. I've eaten there a few times, but tonight was Nancy's first meal there. She enjoyed the food and found several items to her liking. I'm sure that we will be returning.
We decided to watch the movie Babel tonight. It definitely stimulates one's mind. The movie provides lots of complex twists and turns as it weaves a story about people from various cultures. It creates a setting for the viewer to question human nature and the role politics plays in determining the outcome of various events. It also embraces "Friedman" and his concept of the "flat world". You get a real feel for the connectivity between distant countries. I enjoyed the film and gained an increased appreciation for the various cultures that were depicted. The writing and acting were top notch.
